Fantastic party this year and lots of trophies handed out to the Curling League winners. Members enjoyed a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and entertained by a Magician, played party games and finished off with the Grand Christmas Draw!

Club members enjoyed party games, live music from Neil Barclay, Traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings and a Christmas Grand Draw. We are welcoming new enquiries for membership in 2022.

We meet each Monday and Friday in a cheerful COVID-SAFE atmosphere to participate in many creative and exciting games which help with exercise and mental stimulation.

A lot of effort and fun was taken to create some fantastic costumes. What a wonderful distraction from loneliness and yet another successul day at the Young at Heart Club! One of the most successful Day Service providers in Mid Devon.

We are not-for-profit and we depend on the help from volunteers who do a fantastic job helping make our members very happy and relaxed.

Our activities can be played by people of varying mobility and mental abilities. To give you an example; We play Hockey (with real hockey sticks), Skittles,  New Age Kurling, Magnetic Darts, Play your cards right, Golf, Fishing (yes! with real fishing Rods), New Age Bowls, Throwing games, and numerous others which are unique to our club that provide fun and laughter.

We also challenge those "little grey cells" with team quizzes, memory games, crosswords, Word searches etc.,

We provide educational craft activities such as flower arranging, drawing and painting.

Diana (co-founder) is a fully qualified trainer with many years experience in flower arranging and sugar craft. In the past she has won Gold Medals in European and World Sugar Craft competitions.

Lloyd (co-founder) is a proficient photographer who frequently has pictures published in local press and has won national competitions. His skills are often put to good use for publicitiy purposes and gives members the opportunity to take away a picture of their day with us. Lloyd is also a talented musician and song writer, he has had several of his songs played on local BBC Radio.

If our members simply wish to play Cards or Board Games then there is always a volunteer on hand to give them a game.

No one should feel left out, it is an informal club with the emphasis on fun, because afterall "AGE IS JUST A NUMBER"
