Reminiscing Our Way!

We scanned photos provided by club members and shared these with their friends at the club. What a great success! We will be doing this again soon because new members are joining us all the time and it is great to reminisce and share memories with fellow club members.

Queens 90th Birthday celebration.

We meet each Monday, Tuesday and Friday in a cheerful atmosphere to participate in many creative and exciting games which help with exercise and mental agility.

We pride ourselves in the variety of activities we provide at the club.

We are not-for-profit and we depend on the help from volunteers who do a fantastic job helping make our members very happy and relaxed.

Active healthy lives for older people, the elderly and people with learning difficulties.

One member recently commented "If it wasn't for this club I don't know what I would be doing".

We are very inventive in the games and activities we do and our members really look forward to coming again to discover what we have planned for them next time.

Our activities can be played by people of varying mobility and mental abilities. To give you an example; We play Hockey (with real hockey sticks), Skittles,  New Age Kurling, Magnetic Darts, Play your cards right, Golf, Fishing (yes! with real fishing Rods), New Age Bowls, Throwing games, and numerous others which are unique to our club that provide fun and laughter.

We also challenge those "little grey cells" with team quizzes, memory games, crosswords, Word searches etc.,

Hockey Determined to Score a Goal

We provide educational craft activities such as flower arranging, drawing and painting.

Diana (co-founder) is a fully qualified trainer with many years experience in flower arranging and sugar craft. In the past she has won Gold Medals in European and World Sugar Craft competitions.

Lloyd (co-founder) is a proficient photographer who frequently has pictures published in local press and has won national competitions. His skills are often put to good use for publicitiy purposes and gives members the opportunity to take away a picture of their day with us. Lloyd is also a talented musician and song writer, he has had several of his songs played on local BBC Radio.

Activities and Fun

Local Press have mentioned the amount of fun and number of activities we provide for older people. We also offer a Cinema Experience with modern Blu-Ray DVD player and 40 watt surround sound system. Plus FREE Choc-Ices!

 

 

You Choose!

Some of our members love doing the things they enjoy , like Jigsaws, Crosswords or Wordsearch. No one is under pressure to participate in all our activities, some really enjoy the socialising aspect. It's your club, enjoy it!

If our members simply wish to play Cards or Board Games then there is always a volunteer on hand to give them a game.

No one should feel left out, it is an informal club with the emphasis on fun, because afterall "AGE IS JUST A NUMBER"

Staff and Volunteers are always keen to challenge members.

We are Crowdfunding through JustGiving and would value any donation to help reach our target.
